While the champagne and hors d'oeurves reception was in full bloom in the private space on the upper deck, I snuck down to take this photo of the magnificent interior dining room. It being still very light out (6:30 p.m.), the two walls of windows, one facing north and the side facing east, were still shuttered. At night, they draw them to reveal a gorgeous view of the downtown Kansas City Skyline. This space was designed by James Beard and Warren Plantner (the architect for the fabled Windows on the World).
